Oil, Grease & Industrial
Residue Removal

Targeted Cleaning for Machinery, Fabrication and Maintenance Areas

Oil and grease attract dirt, hide defects, interfere with welding and coatings, and make maintenance work harder. Depending on thickness and chemistry, laser cleaning can reduce or remove carbonized and adhered residues from suitable surfaces without flooding the area with water or chemical degreaser.

APPLICATIONS

  • Machinery housings

  • Fabricated metal components

  • Maintenance fixtures

  • Automotive parts

  • Marine machinery

  • Stainless equipment

  • Concrete or masonry test applications where suitable

  • Localized areas prior to repair, welding or coating

IMPORTANT LIMITATION

Free-flowing oil should generally be removed before laser treatment. Laser cleaning is best evaluated as a controlled surface-cleaning step, not as a substitute for bulk oil recovery or normal spill response.

WHY CUSTOMERS USE IT

  • Dry process

  • Targeted treatment

  • Reduced need for blasting media

  • Potentially less chemical handling

  • Useful around complex metal geometry

  • Can combine cleaning and coating-prep steps on some projects
